Our pasture-raised and slow-grown cockerel's boast juicier, denser, and more generous meat than a normal chicken, with a rich gamey flavour – delicious.

 

They are produced the same way as our chickens, moved with mobile shelters to fresh pasture every day. The difference is these are the male chickens that we grow on to older ages and to heavier weights. 

 

Our cockerels are naturally raised for a minimum of 12 weeks, (nearly 3 times longer than your standard chicken) throughout the summer when the weather is good and the grass is growing. We then process and fresh freeze them locking in the summer goodness ready for you to enjoy at any time, whether that's a family Sunday roast, entertaining friends or a Christmas alternative to turkey.

 

Don't forget to remove the giblets from inside the cavity of the bird, these are the perfect stock for some amazing gravy!
